I've tried many tobaccos, but this is my new favorite...I recommend it to everyone! Tried 1-Q since it was a best seller and now I see why. It is no wonder it is #1 in the world. I use Captain Black Dark to break in pipes, but 1-Q for just enjoyment. Zero bite. I have used this 1Q for years and have not found a better smoke yet. I’m probably gonna put her on hold for a while and maybe give her a call in a couple years. this tobacco went totally flat, no taste at all. But if you are an avid aro smoker and haven't at least tried 1Q, then I really don't know what you are waiting for. I may be a little presumptuous to suggest that you modify the best selling tobacco blend on the planet, but I mixed some of this 1:1 with Carter Hall. This tin is headed for the Cellar. Many times i dismiss the massive hype something may have, from books to movies, most generally people tend to have poor taste to equally poor criteria to fill the blanks. I paved the way through lots of aros and english mixtures just before entering this classy. A good way to mix it up is to have a pipe of 1-Q, one with something like HGL (Lane RLP6 with some Latakia), TGl (McClelland's version but with a bit more depth), or A.M Pipe (McClelland) and then have two additional pipes started with a good charring light with either Dunhill 965, EMP, C&D Good Morning, Kensington. Has left a bitter aftertaste when I didn't clean the shaft halfway through the bowl. This is fantastic stuff. Some may complain that it's not flavorful enough, but at times that e... asy on the senses lowkey flavor is exactly the smoke you want. Now onto my major gripe with this stuff. Kinda tastes like salted caramel and praline pecans. Like it's been stated ad nauseum, you need to think of it as a fine wine instead of a beer; take light sips and savor it, don't try to race to the bottom of the bowl. I can best describe the room note being one of vanilla and or marshmallows.
